This Privacy Policy explains how SEWER CONSERVATION GROUP LIMITED (“the Company”) handles information in connection with the Sewer Drainage Android application (“the app”).
The app is designed as a local-only monitoring cockpit for sewer and drainage systems. It lets users record observations, build a site profile, and maintain a history of checks, events, and maintenance activities, generating informational dashboard outputs based on the locally entered data.
This policy applies to your use of the Sewer Drainage app on an Android device. It describes what information the app stores on your device and what happens when you choose to share information with the Company.
The core workflow of the app is entirely local. The app does not rely on an internet connection for its main functionality, and it does not transmit locally recorded information to the Company as part of its normal operation.
The app stores information locally on your Android device to support the monitoring workflow. This includes:
Site profile data that reflects the local baseline and context of the monitored location, quick check and site walk entries containing observations and notes, indicator states and inputs used to generate dashboard interpretations, a maintenance and events log with dated entries, a history and trend log capturing a timeline of checks, events, and state changes, last-updated timestamps, local preferences such as theme, contrast, date format, and data control options, and exported snapshot summaries saved locally where applicable.
All of this information is stored only on your device. It is not automatically transmitted to the Company or to any server operated by the Company.
Because the app keeps its data on your device, you retain control over that data. You can delete individual entries or clear all local app data at any time from within the app where the provided data control options allow it.
Alternatively, you can remove the app’s local data through Android device settings or by uninstalling the application from your device.
The app may allow you to export or share locally generated summaries through Android system actions. Such exports occur only when you choose to initiate them, and the resulting files are saved wherever you direct them.
The app also provides contact actions that may open external Android services, such as a web browser or an email client. These actions are user-initiated, and the external services operate under their own privacy practices.
The app does not require login or account registration, does not process payments, and does not offer subscriptions or other monetisation features. It is designed to function without the Company collecting personal information from you as part of its normal operation.
Your locally created content, such as notes and observations, may contain personal information if you choose to include it, but that content remains on your device unless you explicitly export or share it.
The app is an informational monitoring tool. Its outputs are based on the user-entered observations and are intended solely as practical, informational aids. They are not a substitute for professional, legal, financial, insurance, or regulatory advice, and they do not constitute certification or formal approval.
The app does not provide live sewer telemetry or real-time monitoring. All outputs reflect only the information you enter locally and the recency or completeness of that information.
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, clear local app data, or uninstall the application. Exported files remain wherever you choose to save or share them.
The Company applies reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the app and any information you provide directly to the Company. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and you remain responsible for safeguarding your device and any exported files.
If you are located in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you may have rights under applicable data protection legislation, such as the right to access, correct, or delete personal data, where applicable under law.
Because the app stores data locally, you can usually manage that data directly on your device or by uninstalling the app. If you contact the Company with a request relating to personal data, the availability of any right will depend on whether and how the Company processes such data.
The app is intended for users aged 13 and above and is not directed to children under 13. The Company does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If the Company becomes aware that it has inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13, it will take reasonable steps to delete the information or address the situation.
The Company may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, the “Last updated” date at the top of this policy will be revised. Any changes take effect when the updated policy is made available.
